April Fools and people with absolutely no sense of humor
For an April Fools day joke we came up with what we thought was a fun and harmless prank. We sent out an e-mail that said that Robin Williams was going to appear at our club and gave a link to buy tickets. When you clikced on the link you got a page that said “April Fool’s”.
We got around 80 e-mails from people who said “Oh you fooled me”, “good one” etc… However, there always has to be someone who has absolutely no sense of humor and takes things way too seriously. We’re sorry to say we had at least three people that we know of who actually took the time to complain to us. Time that could have been better spent on more important things in life. We wonder if these people have this same type of passion with helping people that are less fortunate then themselves.
Anyways let’s get on to our Hall of Shame Award Winners. We received two e-mails and one woman who actually took the time to call in:
E-Mail #1 – This is from Marty:
THIS IS VERY BAD ADVERTISING AND IS NOT FUNNY AT ALL. PLEASE TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST AND DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN.
Marty obviously has not been laid in a long time!
E-Mail #2 – This one is from Michael
You are a disgusting “whatever” to advertise the name of Robin Williams and then turn around and say “sorry”. I will never visit your establishment, nor my friends.
Michael and Marty must hang out together.
Voicemail # 1 – By far our favorite from Christine. This woman obviously has way too much time on our end.
